Below is the information that appeared on the home age of VolunTeens.com when they were took over as co-Presidents.

Hello fellow and future VolunTeens! We are seniors at Pine Crest School in Broward County, and the Co-Presidents of VolunTeens. Each of us has been actively involved in a variety of different school and extracurricular activities, including Varsity Basketball, student government, yearbook, Beta Club, and other clubs and service organizations.

In addition to being members of VolunTeens, some of our other volunteer activities include coaching a team in a community basketball league, tutoring elementary school students at a local library, collecting used sporting goods and equipment for a non-profit organization, and various service projects.

With hard work and dedication, we will now focus on enhancing VolunTeens to make it a valuable outreach program and a single source of information that is beneficial to all South Floridian teens.

Being active in your community can be more satisfying than most people believe. The reward you realize when participating in your society goes beyond receiving credit in your high school. The acknowledgement that you have helped your community become a better place is one that can only be described once you have experienced it. Our job is to help others feel the same joy that we do when partaking in community service.

All three of our predecessors have worked diligently to create this thorough organization and website. The founders and original presidents, Melanie and Jennifer Bloom, donated their time to develop and launch VolunTeens.com Jackie Schneider took over the reins from the Blooms and, for the past two years, did an extraordinary job of improving the website by adding significant new capabilities.
