Serving more than 13,000 children each year, our purpose is to inspire and enable young people, ages 7-18, especially those from challenging circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Boys and Girls Club offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities, year round, every day of the year. Teen volunteers, at least 16 years old, can assist at special public events, and help with bulk mailings or other office work during weekdays or some Saturday mornings. Groups of volunteers are welcome for special projects, mass mailings, fundraisers and other projects.

Giving Lax is an organization dedicated to bringing lacrosse to underprivileged youth in South Florida.  Giving Lax collects new and used lacrosse equipment to outfit the children with all necessary protective gear.  Once we've collected enough equipment, we begin our instructional lacrosse clinics at various after-school centers.  We are always in need of volunteer coaches.

Volunteers are needed to work with a group of seniors in an Assisted Living community playing games, cards, bingo, pool, reading poetry, current events, arts & crafts, creative writting and much more! Best Buddies enhance the lives of people with developmental disabilities through a one-to-one friendship and integrated employment. Best Buddies needs volunteers to help with clerical work, filing, answering phones, and organizing and implementing events. Minimum age is 14 years old.

Individuals age 16 and older are invited to volunteer on our build sites with a signed waiver from a parent or legal guardian. Volunteers are not required to have any building skills. Projects may include any aspect of housing construction (including but not limited to) framing, roofing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, landscaping, loading and unloading materails, and cleaning up. We are also always looking for office volunteers to greet visitors, file, assist with data entry and other miscellaneous jobs.
