AACY is constantly looking for volunteers! We have many events during the year for our youth caregivers, ranging from fishing trips to cooking classes to stress camps! Our office also needs help with administrative tasks. Please contact us if you want to help!

“Big Brothers” and “Big  Sisters” are needed to mentor at-risk elementary students (grades 3,4, & 5) in a structured program in local elementary schools. There are locations available throughout Palm Beach Country at selected schools. Volunteers will have to attend one traininng session. A weekly commitment of 1 1/2 hour meetings is required.

Boca Helping Hands provides bags of groceries from its food pantry and hot meals on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. In addition it provides more than 1000 sandwiches and snacks a week for the children in low-income, after-school, child-care facilities in the area. Shut-in meals are also provided. We welcome teen (16+) volunteers. The center is a wonderful place for students to volunteer because of its friendly and caring atmosphere.

Boca Jets Lacrosse is a non-profit sports organization that provides a league for boys and girls from grades K - 8 to play lacrosse in Boca Raton. We are a 100% volunteer organization and have had over 300 children participate in one year. Volunteers are needed for:  Office work - registration information (immediate need)  Web site improvements  Coaching  Game day - concession help

TeenAge Volunteer (TAV). Students are needed to volunteer in many departments throughout the hospital.  Duties include transporting patients, delivering flowers and messages to patients, running errands, delivering medical records to the emergency room, and attending the nurses’ station and the information desk.

Volunteers are needed on weekends and throughout the week to visit and cheer patients in physical rehabilitation program. Patients range in age from teenage to elderly.  Activities may include assisting with Bingo on Wednesday nights and reading and writing letters for residents. Orientation is provided, and volunteers usually work in teams of two.

Create a Promise Club! Research, plan, and organize forums and activities on topics of interest to youth. Projects to be created and presented by youth in after-school and community settings. Contact us for more information!

The CAREing Foundation is a drug and alchohol prevention program using arts as the vehicle. There is a need for teens to volunteer approximately one day a week as: -Volunteer Site Artist Mentors to work with the artist once a week at sites around Palm Beach County. (They will find a site near you.) -Volunteer Office Assistant to update the database, answer phones and mail out letters.
