Serving more than 13,000 children each year, our purpose is to inspire and enable young people, ages 7-18, especially those from challenging circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Boys and Girls Club offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities, year round, every day of the year. Teen volunteers, at least 16 years old, can assist at special public events, and help with bulk mailings or other office work during weekdays or some Saturday mornings. Groups of volunteers are welcome for special projects, mass mailings, fundraisers and other projects.

Volunteers aged 12 years and up are needed in your neighborhood, in our community, and in SWA's Administrative Office. Opportunities include educating Palm Beach County residents about waste reduction and recycling, cleaning and beautifying neighborhoods, and developing skills and talents in SWA's office.
CAREing Foundation
The CAREing Foundation is a drug and alchohol prevention program using arts as the vehicle. There is a need for teens to volunteer approximately one day a week as: -Volunteer Site Artist Mentors to work with the artist once a week at sites around Palm Beach County. (They will find a site near you.) -Volunteer Office Assistant to update the database, answer phones and mail out letters.

Mission: The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
Make-a-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida serves Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee, Highlands, Monroe, Hendry, Glades, Collier and Lee. OUr biggest cities include Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Stuart, Port St. Lucie, Vero Beach, Fort Pierce, Key West, Naples, and Fort Myers counties. The average cost of a wish is $5,000.
The Kids for Wish Kids® (elementary, middle school ages) and Wishmakers® (high school and college ages) programs are fundraising programs implemented int he schools, religious organizations, and community/civic organizations to raise funds and community awareness on behalf of Make-A-Wish. Teen Advisory Board @ Delray Beach Public Library (TAB@DBPL) The TAB@DBPL was formed to give teens the opportunity to participate in and influence teen services at the Delray Beach Public Library. Membership Requirements: Ages 13 - 17. Teen Volunteer Application/Model Release and Statement of Commitment. Members must commit to one year of service and a minimum of 75 hours of service for that year. Service hours can be met with a combination of activities: attendance at monthly meetings (1 hr, once a month required) during fiscal year October - September, AND chairing one Young Adult Yearly Program such as Book Discussion Chair and Got Gaming? Chair Various positions available for Homework Helpers and FCAT (3rd, 4th, & 5th) Tutors.
