We are a non-profit horse rescue facility providing an anlternative to destruction of the horses that have been found to be EIA positive. We are a quarantine and resuce ranch providing opportunities to families and individuals to care for and sponsor a horse. We are in need of volunteers 7 days a week for various horse-related ranch activities such as watering, feeding, and cleaning of stalls. Any individual with grant oand fundraising experience is also needed.

Volunteers are needed to help with pre-schoolers in a daycare setting. Duties include arts and crafts, reading, and playing on the playground. There is a need for tutors, Monday - Friday, 3 pm to 5 pm. If you play an instrument, speak a foreign language, love to act, enjoy sports, or have any special talent, come and share! On-site training available.

Mission: The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Make-a-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida serves Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee, Highlands, Monroe, Hendry, Glades, Collier and Lee. OUr biggest cities include Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Stuart, Port St. Lucie, Vero Beach, Fort Pierce, Key West, Naples, and Fort Myers counties. The average cost of a wish is $5,000. The Kids for Wish Kids® (elementary, middle school ages) and Wishmakers® (high school and college ages) programs are fundraising programs implemented int he schools, religious organizations, and community/civic organizations to raise funds and community awareness on behalf of Make-A-Wish. Adopt-A-Street is a partnership between Broward Beautiful, Broward County Government, and participating cities. Volunteer groups agree to adopt one-half of a mile or more of a selected street and remove the litter four times per year for two years. Volunteers are needed to provide organizational help, cleanup supplies, free disposal and Adopt-A-Street signs

Established in 1986, Hanley-Hazelden Center, located on the campus of St. Mary's Hospital, offers a full range of recovery services for men and women over the age of 18 who struggle with alcoholism, drug dependency and related diseases. Volunteers are needed to assist with mailings, office work, educational projects, and more.
